4th Grade GT students will be going to the Technical High School on Wednesday and Nellie/Brantley will be competing with their car! Good luck!!
Friday is the last day of the month so we will have our end of the month incentive for those students with no office or bus referrals and no unexcused absences for the month of March. It is a free casual day. There is NO SCHOOL FOR PREK STUDENTS.
We have our T-Shirt Sale going on until April 13th. If you don't want to purchase a T-Shirt, that is perfectly fine! When sports day comes, students will be encouraged to wear their class color. Proceeds will go towards making our Sports Day awesome!!
Our third quarter is quickly coming to a close on April 5th. Please encourage students to keep working hard, do their best and make sure any missing assignments are turned in!

Egg-citing news about an upcoming event in our community!! Any student who donates a bag of candy or eggs for this event will earn a free casual day in April!! All donations are needed by Monday, April 3rd!

Deal Island T-Shirts are for sale! We are preparing for Sports Day and every grade level will be wearing a different color! 5th grade is wearing Gray, 4th grade is wearing Green, 3rd grade is wearing Purple, 2nd grade is wearing Red, 1st grade is wearing Blue and K/Prek is wearing Yellow. If you would like to purchase a shirt color that is not to your student's assigned color, that's fine! We just highly encourage the day of Sports Day (May 25th) that we wear our grade level color. Please feel free to share and have adults purchase as well! The funding will help support our Sports Day event and other future events as well. Thank you so much and call the school with any questions.

Hello DIS families!
As you may begin some spring cleaning or as your student is getting bigger in a blink of an eye, would you consider donating your child's old uniforms to our school? Our school nurse is requesting prek-2nd grade sizes. We are also in need of socks and underwear to have on hand for littles for when accidents happen. We would greatly appreciate it. Again, only sizes are needed for prek-2nd grade size-we are stocked on 3rd to 5th. Thank you!

Due to fog, Somerset County Public Schools will open 2 hours late today, Thursday, March 2, 2023. Essential & FNS staff and should report on time or when it is safe to do so. Please drive safely!
