WESTOVER, MD, November 10, 2023 – The Knights of Columbus, Father Edmund Julien Council #11616 of Westover, MD recently made a generous donation of winter coats to Somerset County Public Schools (SCPS) students upon completion of a winter coat drive. 96 winter coats for boys and girls were delivered to the Somerset Board of Education for distribution to students at Deal Island Elementary, Carter G. Woodson Elementary, Greenwood Elementary, Princess Anne Elementary and Somerset Intermediate, just in time for colder weather to arrive.
SCPS’ Deputy Superintendent, Mr. Tom Davis shared, “Our team is thankful for this donation from our local Knights of Columbus. A warm winter coat is a necessary item of clothing that allows students to participate comfortably in all of the coming season’s outdoor activities.”
