Our DIS Calendar featured that Grandparent's day is this Sunday, while you are free to celebrate those AMAZING caretakers in your lives this weekend, DIS is planning an event later in the year, not this Monday. We apologize for any confusion!

We had a fantastic first day back to school with ALL of our students, today!
We hope you enjoy this special message from Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Tasker-Mitchell: https://youtu.be/PInkSwRzW8Y

The Staff had an amazing first week back to school. We are so grateful that the Lions club sponsored some yummy lunches for us. We also had some community members donate snacks for the staff lounge. School supplies were donated by local churches including St. John's, St, Paul's and Rock Creek. El and Em designs created our staff shirts. All of our amazing community partners are worth celebrating everyday. Thank you for all that you do for us and for helping start our school year off right!

A huge thanks to everyone who came out yesterday to visit our school and staff! Instead of an "Open House" it should be called "Homecoming" because that's what it feels like! If anyone has any photos they would like to share, please send our way!
We hope everyone has a safe and wonderful Labor Day weekend! We will see Prek3&4 students on TUESDAY and EVERYONE on Wednesday!!
If you have not done so already, make sure you are connected to your teacher via the SCPS App: Rooms. Also, please complete all Powerschool forms for the 2024-2025 year!
THANK YOU!
