Somerset County Public Schools will implement a Virtual Learning Day for students on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, due to inclement weather. The regular Virtual Day schedule (8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.) will be followed. Evening events and activities are canceled.

Based on the need for a two-hour delay due to inclement weather and the previously scheduled early dismissal for afternoon professional learning, SCPS has determined that a virtual day provides the most consistent and efficient instructional and operational approach.

Staff Expectations:

Essential staff should report on time.
12-month staff should report after a 2-hour delay.
Instructional staff should prepare for afternoon virtual professional learning.
